I am not sure if it’s the love for seafood or the sea-view that lures me to Thailand from Singapore every few months, but it sure is great pigging out on all the mouth-watering Thai food with a view of the gorgeous blue sea, and the beaches are for real! 😉

Blue Magic: Butterfly Pea flower Kheer
This post is to celebrate a decade of travelling and blogging; a visual treat for your eyes and taste buds, a creation inspired by my love for travel, food and photography – Blue Kheer – a sweet rice pudding from India! The beautiful blue color is from the petals of a Southeast Asian – Butterfly Pea Flower.
Cooking for the soul
Cooking was not one of my favorite things to do, but eating authentic Thai food and watching it get cooked in front of me & plated in a matter of minutes, has changed that. The aroma and freshness of Thai food is both exhilarating and comforting to my senses! So this time in Phuket, while…
Baan Rim Pa – Phuket’s finest in Royal Thai Cuisine
Dining by the sea is one of my favorites. The sound of waves and the rustling leaves from the trees make soothing music and the moist air is so refreshing. All of this with delicious Thai food is almost sinful! Thailand has some amazing restaurants with delicious food and stunning views. The people are warm,…

The Thai Spirit
It’s the festival of Songkran in Thailand today, the traditional Thai new year. It’s a water festival in which friends and family get together and celebrate by sprinkling water on each other, as a symbol of good luck. It’s a three-day festival which starts on April 13th every year and coincides with the new year of many…
Nui beach : Panorama
Nui which means small in Thai, is a small rocky beach in south Phuket which is good for swimming, snorkeling, diving, fishing or just getting away from the crowds. Its hidden in a cove, somewhere between Nai Harn beach & Promthep Cape in south Phuket, totally secluded, with access only through a steep dirt road or by boat. It is one of those secret…
Phuket’s little secret : Nui beach
Unexpected adventures are often the most rewarding experiences while traveling. In my travels to Asia, some of the most interesting adventures have been off the beaten track. And one such memorable adventure in Phuket, was when I accidentally stumbled upon the enigmatic little Nui beach while driving, to view the sunset from my favorite viewpoint, at Promthep…
Similan Islands : Panorama
Similan islands are so appealing that once you’ve visited them, no other place in Thailand would feel as exotic anymore! The virgin beauty of the islands is flawless and gazing into the bright turquoise ocean I realize how unpretentious it is… To read about the islands, how to get there and my experiences, refer to my earlier post…
Ko Similan : A virgin beauty
My first snorkeling experience really opened my eyes to the exquisite world under water. It’s an indescribable feeling, being there in the water with all the fish, sharing their space and be able to touch the beautiful corals. Since I don’t know swimming, it took me a while to get used to the idea that I would…
Racha : A little piece of paradise
Having lived on the plains & hills of north India most of my life, I’d always wanted to experience living on a beach, where I could fall asleep and wake up to the sound of the ocean. A holiday in Goa is the closest I got, before I moved to Singapore 4 years back and went on…
Thai High
If ever I’ve to choose my last meal, I’ll pick all my favorites from Thai cuisine to get that last high! The bursts of flavor on my tongue and the aroma would be refreshing, satisfying and divine to all my senses alike. It’s a harmonious blend of sweet, salty, sour, spicy and bitter, all of it together. Thai cuisine is extremely diverse as…
Gastronomy : With a view
Eating out was invented for travellers but it’s an important aspect of socializing and is highly sophisticated in today’s world. It gives us a chance to show off our cosmopolitanism in a world which values it. We spend not so much for the food as for the entertainment value and the thrill of being treated like…
Beach Bums
Dogs have an uncanny ability to read and respond to human emotions. And humans in turn, respond to dogs with the same hormone responsible for bonding mothers to their babies. This connection of a human with a dog is special. I have noticed that stray dogs, specially those on the beach are more friendly than…
